Somebody in the comments told me last night that "i like trees" might be connected to the symbol on the tree that I found.
Not too sure WHAT it means, but I guess I should reevaluate the whole thing, seeing as it's a bit too convenient that after I get that letter I find this tree. I'd still like to know what the symbol is though. I'll keep doing my own online research, but I don't have high hopes of finding anything relevant.

Maybe you should try digging under that tree. Didn't that picture you get say "dig" under it? And then there's this whole "I like trees business," so they might be connected.
